How is Scentsy safer than traditional candles?
Scentsy Bars are safer than wicked candles because no flame is required for the wax to melt and release fragrance. Since the wax is warmed and not burned as with traditional candles, no harmful chemicals or pollutants are released into the air. With Scentsy, there is no flame, smoke, soot or lead. Scentsy Bars do not contain or release harmful phthalates. Scentsy fragrance products do not contain or release any harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Do Scentsy Bars contain harmful chemicals?
Scentsy Bars and fragrance oils do not contain any kind of nut or mineral oils. They are BPA-, gluten-, lead-, egg- and formaldehyde-free. If you have sensitivities, you may find that you can still use Scentsy.

Is Scentsy harmful to my health?
Scentsy fragrance products are specially formulated and tested to comply with all federal Environmental Protection Agency regulations, the International Fragrance Association’s Code of Practice, the European Union’s REACH requirements and the California Air Resources Board regulations, all of which restrict the use of fragrance ingredients that pose a risk to consumer health or the environment. We also require the fragrance houses we work with to be active members of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA). The IFRA determines which ingredients are safe and at what levels, by product.
Is Scentsy safe around pets?
As long as Scentsy products are used for their intended purpose, there should be no adverse effect on indoor birds or other pets. For safety purposes, Scentsy recommends that warmers be used in a well-ventilated room. If you have a small indoor bird, you may want to consider leaving a window or door open when heating wax, or using their warmer for a few hours each day and then turning it off at night. Most people have no issues with using Scentsy around pets. Some pets do have allergies, just like humans, so you may find scents that you need to avoid. As always, you can consult your veterinarian with any concerns about using Scentsy products around your pets. However, make sure they understand what Scentsy is- sometimes they confuse us with other companies that burn the wax.
